Hello and goodbye all,

Just wanted to say goodbye to all my TGO friends.

I am moving to NC in a couple of weeks.

The reason for the move is because after my wife's death I have no family here but I do in NC, hense the reason for the move.

It has been fun meeting many of you and I will miss you.

Please keep me in your prayers and God bless

your friend

Joe W.

While I wish you the best in your endeavors, you do realize that while you have left the state, that doesn't require you leave the site?

I moved to Kentucky five years ago and I still frequent the site on a daily basis.

Murg is right. I moved to FL for 4 years but continued to visit TGO.

I'm very sorry to hear about your wife and I wish you all the best. I hope that you will continue to visit from time to time and let us know how you are doing.

Agreed, I moved almost two years ago and still visit.

Whether you continue to visit TGO or not, I wish you the best in NC. It's a nice place and being near family should make it even better.

You bet!  And, like the others have said I hope you stick around on TGO.

I hope you still poke your head in from time to time, Joe.  Our out of state crowd helps us see how things are outside the bubble.  Regardless, all the best with what's to come for you.

Joe, North Carolina is a beautiful state; you could do far worse than moving there.   But one thing I noticed while in NC this last week myself is that they too have the Internet and I was able to get onto TGO from there as well. ;)

I hope that we still see you around!  Take care and Godspeed.

I hope you find some peace and comfort being close to family and go to a good part of the state.

I'm 20 minutes from the NC line and if you need to get back here from time to time you are welcome to look me up.

Joe, I gladly count you as a friend. Our few meets and conversations showed me a man of character.  A man we will miss being close by. But that doesn't mean you will or should forget us here. As has been said before, you can still chime in and let us know how you are. Maybe even give us a little flack now and then.

I am sorry about the loss of your wife.  I guess I've not really interacted with you all that much on here but don't see why you can't remain a member of the site.  I, for one, would value the chance to have a 'spy' in North Carolina.  It isn't unusual to find oneself there when going to the mountains, etc.  Your profile says you have a carry permit and, assuming you obtain one in North Carolina, I think it would be of great value to have someone with first hand knowledge keep us up to date on what carry laws are like there since they recognize our carry permits.

Regardless, best of luck in your move.

Where in NC?

Waynesville, my family lives in Waynesville and Maggie Valley which is about 15 minutes anyway.

Don't think I could make it through the Holliday's alone so thank God my house sold in one day and when I went to NC I was able to find what I wanted.

I know I am only a click away here, just wanted to let you all know that I will not be local.

Heck that's only at the most a 2 hour drive to Knoxville.  I drive by there now and then on my way to see my daughter in Charlotte from here in Clarksville.
