We have reached the pinnacle of metallic cartridge designs and delivery platforms. Way past it actually.  Phasers, lasers, and disruptors is where it's at now.

I am waiting on the implant that lets me crush people with my mind.

The one thing I see really different is the inability of the extendable/collapsible stock to do either. Tightest dang stock I've ever seen. Even removing the pin and doing some greasing up, it still doesn't want to move.

The one we have at Academy is like that, thought maybe ours was broke :)

Mine is the same way... either all the way out or all the way in...

It's a BCM stock. I would call THEM and ask what's up. Maybe Springfield stuck a Milspec stock on a commercial tube. I would be REAL surprised if BCM screwed up.

This or they're using the absolute cheapest receiver extensions mass produced and they're several thousandths big. I assure you it's not a BCM extension if it doesn't fit well with the stock.

It is amazing how much slop in specs some places let their parts go out with.

Some of the later UTG stuff can be pretty decent these days. I bought a couple of UTG pro carry handles for some rifles I built that were good quality. I know some of their stuff is crappy. Just not all.

I built two AR pistols last year.  Both now wear the UTG slimline handguards.  Tight, much smaller radius, no need for protective covers.  Agree, they got some crap in their gear, but some gems in others.

Not to revive too old of a thread, but I just got to hold one of these a co-worker bought. It felt nice and had some good furniture on it, but I can't say it was better that the $400 PSA. Maybe if I shot both, I would think differently. anyone shot one? He had added a bipod and a Scorpion Scope which together cost over 50% what the rifle did. Maybe I an a cheapo, but I have trouble doing that for the plinking I do.
