Well I like some of the features but it was definitely over hyped. I wash they had the MSRP listed. I didn't see it.

Shall we call it the Willy H. Special?

Oh wow, yet another ar game changer. Seems to be more on the line of "crap we have a pile of parts we need to burn, let's build andmarket something. "

Corporate inertia is really big. I bet they started this 10 yrs ago. Somebody high up realized how much they've got tied up in it and told the marketing folks to spin it. Certainly a good attempt at timing to cash in on the impending election panic.

I see they went with the Betamax of rail attachment systems. Dollars to donuts the next iteration has M-Lok.

Keymod was bigger than MLOK at one time, but I sure am glad to see MLOK becoming bigger.

I don't understand how they use all those BCM parts and fail to include one of the Gunfighter charging handles. Such a good upgrade, yet not part of this package.

Charging handle isn't as flashy as furniture or handguard.

Regardless of marketing, this rifle was designed and made for beginners not experienced shooters who know what they want. It has polymer Keymod for goodness sake. Not to mention the A2 front sight.

I saw and handled one at the Jackson show last weekend. I liked the look and  feel of it. Price was $799.

But, I'm just not an AR guy, so I left it there.

Pretty sure it has a UTG rear sight too :)

Some of the later UTG stuff can be pretty decent these days. I bought a couple of UTG pro carry handles for some rifles I built that were good quality. I know some of their stuff is crappy. Just not all.

I've kept up with AR15s a lot more lately and I haven't really seen anything ground breaking out of anything hyped as ground breaking.

Not much you can do to make a ground breaking AR anymore. Does anyone think the US Military will ever switch to a different platform?

How about a 28 inch barrel?lol

Just depends on how much money an arms company pays the review committee. lol

We have reached the pinnacle of metallic cartridge designs and delivery platforms. Way past it actually.  Phasers, lasers, and disruptors is where it's at now.
