I saw one of the video's for the new line the other day.  Some chick with more muscles than I've ever had and tats.

Don't get me wrong, I love XD's, it's my EDC.  They are marketing to a much younger group than me with the Saint line so far.

You still carrying the 45? Nothing wrong with that gun.

I have several rifles, 1911 and XD pistols from Springfield.  The latest marketing ploy isn't a good idea.  I'm not sure what they are trying to sell, nor does this type of marketing let me know if it is worth waiting for the answers.

Not as of last week.  It's in the safe and the compact one of our TGO family sold me has been riding with me.

That 5 inch barrel was getting to be a pain for EDC.

With Springfield Armory, I think I'll wait and see versus getting excited.  Never been vastly impressed with the overall brand past the 1911 line.

Yeah. I'm not jumping up and down either.

If the "modular" hint turns out to be true, I'd bet on an AR-ish type rifle with quick change barrel capability, maybe even something could do both 5.56 and .308.

Well, the important question for many TGO'ers, myself included, is whether any of the women on their SAINT team are into balding, older, overweight white men. ;)

Hey, I'm not balding!

Just going grey.

The grey beard hair really pisses me off!

I don't think this could have been hyped up any more for a bigger let down. Another cookie cutter AR? Really Springfield?! No one is impressed. And I mean NO ONE

Mk... my guess is some warmed over AR variant. Maybe made in Serbia this time. I bet the market will be ripe for an overpriced logo'd out Springfield tactical rifle on 11/9/16.

Ha! NAILED IT!  Do I win a T shirt or something?!

Show up at Nashville Armory Thursday and claim your T-shirt and they will let you shoot 5 rounds too through one.  Wooo Hooo, generous aren't they?

It looks like a decent mid-level AR to me. All the hype was certainly too much. If there is a panic buy and I can sell my pmags for 30$ each,  I might pick one up later.

So it's a bog-standard AR with their own hand guard and stock? That's it? Oh, and it has the fixed front sight post so you're limited on future customization. Am I missing something?

I guess I'm just disappointed that it doesn't have "GRIP ZONE" all over it.

LOL!!! I was about to say that. About the only things I like are the foregrip and the handgrip, and those aren't all that great.

Many similar grips around, and the foregrip looks like a slightly modified Magpul. Not complaining about them. They are good examples of work product, but after all the hype...I think we all expected something more.

It's a BCM stock, grip, and handguard. Good stuff. This is most likely going to be a very good rifle if t's priced right.

I was really hoping for something different.  Didn't care what, but just not something that is already so readily available.

Yep. Looks like you will be able to build the same thing from other sources
