Help me find an old Lee Auto Prime for sale, please!

I also have this in the classifieds, but I'm posting here because I'm hoping to maybe catch the eye of a reloader who may understand my plight and be able to offer assistance.

I'm looking for the old Lee Auto Primer.  Not the new XR thing or the Ergo loader.  Yep7, the old one with the round primer tray.  New old stock would be awesome, but if you have a gently used one taking up space that would be fine.  Looking for one with smooth operation.  After a decade and I dunno... maybe 40-50k primers... mine is about toast.  I strongly dislike the new Lee handheld primers, and don't really wanna hafta buy another brand's primer and another shellholder set.  :/

Even if you don't have one, but know a place that may, I'd love the info.  Thanks!  Can trade cash or ammo, and AR mag or two, whatever.  :-)

I'm hoping that maybe one of you fine gents might know of someone with one they don't need, or maybe know of a little shop somewhere off the beaten path that may have one sitting on the shelf in a box long faded from red to pink.  I'd love their contact info, if so.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Let me take a look, I may have one.  You talking about this one right?  Not sure of it's condition atm but if it still works you can have it for shipping cost, I just upgraded to the bench mounted Lee version.  Worse case it may have the part that's worn on yours.

They are occasionally on ebay. There is also a small company who makes one like it, but in steel. I don't recall the name of the company. They are pricey, but I've considered getting one anyway.

I would also give a thumbs up to the RCBS hand primers.  If you insist on a Lee I see there is currently an old style Lee Auto Prime on flEaBay.

Holy shnikes!  That thing looks more worn than mine! Lol!  Thanks for the link, but I'm gunna pass on that one, especially at that price. :/

I am hoping to find some folks who juat have theirs in an old junk bin.  I like the old Lee and have all the shellholders already. I don't really want to buy another brand's primer and then hafta get another set of shellholders, too.

No shellholders like Mike said.  You wouldn't regret it.

By the time you pay shipping for a couple of the lee's, you could have one.

Ok, yes I have one it has two trays but only one stem, though I don't recall it coming with two.  Seems to operate smoothly so should be in good working order.

I too loved the old style Lee Autoprime and used them for about 25 years. Hated the "new" design...

So I went with the RCBS Universal around 2 years ago and only wish I had done so sooner. Excellent priming tool imho.

LOl. I guess I'm saying had Lee not "improved" their design I would have gone on blissfully using their product. :hat:
