Heck of a night for Ross, and not a bad way to retire. Go Cubs!

Cue the "happy riots" in Chi-Raq I guess. And maybe the "sad riots" in Cleveland?

Man, if only Harry had lived to see it... incredible.

And many others.  I think that was why it was so emotional for many of us who grew up around the area and are what I call true blood Cubs fans.  I remember coming home from school to my Grandma's and she always had the Cubs game on in the afternoon.  She didn't hardly miss a game.  This was before there were lights in the stadium.  This was just as much about those we have lost who didn't get to see this day as it is for us.

I loved Bill Murray's comments after the game.  He said his mom died something like 29 years ago yesterday.  He said this was about his mom, dad, grandfather, uncles, etc.  I know many of us have the same feelings.

pretty amazing, loveable losers no more.

I have been to lots of games at Wrigley,  They always flew the W flag after a win.  When did the W flag become something for fans to wave, t shirts hats etc...  wasn't like that when I was there.

I am really happy for the franchise, the city and its fans.  Wow!

It’s been 108 years since the Cubs last won a World Series and that number is quite significant:

There are 108 stitches in a baseball, designed by the Cubs first manager and ace pitcher A.G. Spalding, whose Chicago office was originally located at 108 W. Madison Street.

The left and right field corners at Wrigley Field are 108 meters from home plate.

First pitch for the Cubs is always at 7:08 p.m. CST, which is 19:08 military time. 1908, the last time the Cubs won it all.

Cubs win the World Series in the 1989 film “Back To The Future Part II,” which is 108 minutes long.

Don't know if anyone else is watching the Cubs parade on ESPN.  5 Million + in attendance.  Absolutely awesome.  Wish I was there.
