It is a rip-off of the Kel-tec... KT even sued them over copyright infringement, as I recall.

I've handled a few... it's basically a P11 with rougher machining, poorer finishing and materials.

The only one which I have seen fired, fell apart (literally) within 100rd... the hammer finally broke in half, ending the dissapointed owner's session. I have heard of this specific thing from several other people, as well.

The real thing (a Kel-tec) isn't much more expensive, but from what I have seen, is well worth it.

You got me on this one. Never even heard of it!

Heard good things and some bad. Check out the Skyy forum and you will find a lot of problems reported. Don't know if it initial run problems or design. Design is a clone of Kel-Tec's P11, which is a good design. The guy who founded the company is a former Kel-Tec employee.

Yeah, this is a new one to me. Although I'm not completely sold on cheap guns (Kel-tek, Bersa, Hi-Point etc..) That Bersa 380 we have hasn't crapped out yet. We put about 700 rounds through it and it only jammed 3 times. I wouldn't trust a new cheap gun. maybe after 10 years of R&D.:D

There is a difference between cheap and value. Kel-Tec's and Bersa are value guns. There is a vast difference between them and Hi-Point, Jennings, Bryco,......ect.

I've had some expensive guns that were crap. Mainly a $1100 Kimber that would'nt get through a mag. without a FTF. I'm looking for a reasonably priced, small and reliable gun.

I've heard that Skyys have improved, but that still isn't an enforcement considering the huge number of early problems.

Hi-Points does not belong in the same category as Jimenez/Jennings/Bryco. I consider them to be big, ugly handguns with horrible field stripping but that are inexpensive and reliable. Decent car gun. It goes boom and if someone steals it, you won't cry much. :P

well I went back to the gun shop today and compared it side by side to the kel-tec. I ended up going with the skyy it had a better finish, sights and trigger than the kt. I took it straght to the range and put 200 rnds through it with no problems. Its seems to be accurate for such a small gun. It has some wickedly snappy recoil though. I hope I got one of the good ones.

They solicited me to carry the line. When I went to the forum I saw lots of unhappy customers. The co points out they have great waranty service but that isnt much comfort to me. I sell guns for people to use for defense and it would be about kill me to pick up the paper and read that one of my customers was killed when his gun malfunctioned.

I have been stocking weird com-bloc guns. I have the Polish P64 and with a little work that is a great gun for under $200.
