Tri Rail forend for a Remington 870?? (or on any of your shottys)

I have a Remington 870 Witness Protection AOW and I'm trying to come up with a solution to put a grip on the front due to the short length and excessive thump. So I have been trying to decide on a tri rail but the internet has failed me so far. Basically I wanted something like the Surefire M69 that is no longer manufactured.

Do any of you have a rail forend on one of your shotguns? Any one in particular you care for? Looking for stock size, minimal wobble, aluminum pic rail preferable. Pics would be great, I'm having a hard time finding any information that would sway me one way or the other.

NOTE: The forend cannot be longer than the standard 870 pump...that's where the barrel ends. I have found a few that are a little longer and won't work.

Magpul handguard isn't metal, but is "tri rail" meaning you can put rails where you want on 3 sides. Though the polymer rails have been adequate for me on ARs, they make them in aluminum also, or you can buy cheaper M-LOK ones on eBay.

What length is your barrel?

Here's only pic I found of one on a shorty 870 witness type config -- Not sure if it's a 14" barrel to meet the 26" OAL so as not to be AOW or if it's 12"? Thread where I found it didn't make it clear.

I have an Ergo trirail on my Mossberg 590a1. The fit and finish are great. I checked their web sight and they make them for the Remington also. Ergogrips.net

It's 10 inches. I don't know what it is about magpul furniture on a shotgun, I am just not a fan. I've got it on all of my AR platforms, but AKs and shotguns...just not my style I guess.
