Some Recent Leather Work.

Realized I hadn't posted any pictures recently of my leather work projects.  These are a couple "prototypes" that I'm working on.

First up is a "convertible/multi-use" holster, or so the line of thought went.  Every portion is removable and can be left out or a different one can be put on.
-Pocket sleeve
-Tuckable IWB with spring clips, however it's also punched for soft loops
-Completely ambidextrous
-Appendix carry if that's your thing
-Magazine can be relocated to weak side if desired.

I've been wearing the design around for a couple days now and it's really not as bad as I thought it might be off the bat. Thoughts welcome.

Second up is a canted double magazine pouch.  Friend of mine asked if I had ever done one like that and if so, what it was like.  I hadn't so I made this one. It's really a lot nicer I think the way the magazines are angled versus straight up.  The pattern needed some work so I've made a new one at this point but haven't put it to leather yet.  I also made a second single pouch pattern.  Trying to get both done tomorrow night or this weekend.  For anyone who does Instagram my handle there is the same as here and there are a lot more pictures on there.

I've seen canted mag pouches before and your set up looks better. The holster concept looks like a nice proof of effort project and your leather work is outstanding.

Knocked out some more pieces last night and this morning.

MP5 double mag pouch because I wondered what it would look like.

Great work! Stiching is straight and true, lines are tight and smooth. Congrats!

Yes. I was talking to GJ last night in the chatroom about this and I was blown away. He has always made nice stuff as long as I've known him, but this IMO showcases that his skills are still climbing and have reached a level of accomplishment I would very proud of if I were him.

Great job again homie!

Made another cigar related item, this time crush proof. Even ran it over repeatedly to prove it.

Also a holster for a member on here. Made for a Wiley Clapp Edition GP100.

Interested how you made the cigar holder crush proof? Is that copper pipe?

Both nice looking jobs.

Yeah it's copper. Here it is under my front tire. I didn't actually intend for it to be as strong as it is, but it turned out to be a whole lot stronger than anticipated.

Wow. I would have figured the copper would bend under that weight.

I think you should christen it the "Battle Cigar Carrier"  (BCC) The tag line could be something like "Always have one around to smoke after you win that tough battle" lol

Then you could do whatever military symbol the buyer wanted on the flap below the stud hole. Maybe even add a belt loop on the back if they wanted.

These are the kinds of things that bounce around in my brain. :)

Or call it an 'SBR' - Smokes, Battle Ready with the tagline "The smoke to call once you've smoked 'em all."

Gjohnsoniv, the 'baseball stitch' looks amazing.  I'm going to have to look that technique up.  I have always liked that look but wasn't sure of the actual name for the stitch.

Well my phone is acting strange, it's not hard to do once you get the hang of it.

Did another one last night, only this time it's a cigar case with a baseball stitch.  Had to change some things up a bit.
