There are a few of us here who speak to the issues of institutional racism, mass incarceration and its disparate impact in the black community. This documentary does a very good job of painting a clear narrative of the long history of these issues and how the events of the past play a very real part in the state of affairs today it is by no means perfect (I will note the inaccuracies with regard to the legal details regarding the Trayvon Martin case in particular) but overall it does a very good job. Regardless of your views on things, I think it would be worth your time to give it a watch. I'd be interested to reading some of y'all's thoughts.
