Welcome Disney! Dont worry your not the only one that is not armed at the moment. I gotta get to Atlanta to pick mine up sometime. Llama .380 I asked the same question when I joined, they mostly reccommended a Glock 19 as a good carrying/target gun.

btw, this is V6Monte :P

And i was joking about what should I get guys........ Seriously

I am looking for a .40 to .45 I reallylike the cost and performance of the XD 40 and XD 45. I'd love a Kimber Pro-Carry II .45 ACP but can't afford it. For now, i'm really just looking to get into a 1911 of some sorts. Probably get one of Easilyobsesseds's old pieces.

dang sean, why didn't you SAY something old man??? sheesh, thats like gettin caught without underwear in a wreck, by a hot female paramedic!!!

you could have said something, I would have spotted ya a loaner!!!!

It wouldn't have been a glock (ew *making a cross with 2 fingers*) but it would have MORE than fit your requirements!

:D

I have an XD 40 and I love it. It's only the compact, but i think it is possible to carry easily. If all else fails get the sub-compact and we know that can be carried. Either way the XD is a great gun. Or if all else fails and you can't decide....a glock is indestructable and as reliable a gun as you will find...but i still prefer my XD.

Now... What do you guys think would be a good carry weapon for me?

Not knowing what you have experience with... I'll throw out a few of my favorites.

Sig P239

Springfield XD (I've owned & carried all 3 sizes... XD-45 Compact is probably the best overall size)

Springfield 1911 (there are plenty of sizes to choose from)

I want to upgrade to an H&K P2000, or a Walther P99... Either of those come highly recommended, as well.

I've also considered owning one Glock, just to say that I've given them a fair shake... Some swear by them. Most are worth trying, to see if they fit you.

Just wonderin'.
