I would like a PPS in .40, but for around 600.00 plus I can wait.

There was at least one PPS at the gun show for $549 this weekend, it had the gray frame. The guy selling all the sigs to the left against the wall when you came in the door had it in his display case. I thought long and hard about it. I thought about the P232 for my girlfriend too, but didn't pull the trigger on either of them (pun intended).

Springfield GI series.

+1 if you want a .45, fun, but feeding 'em gets expensive if you shoot a lot and don't reload...

+1, or you could get an SR9 (which is like a thinner glock w/ a thumb safety) for 400, and buy at least 500 rounds of 9mm with the other 100...

+2 I have a GI I bought used from a guy here. awesome gun. Very accurate and looks great too. Mine is parkerized and it has held up well even with me traveling a lot.

I had an M&P 45. Was a fantastic gun. Traded it in on a M&P9 because I wanted something cheaper to shoot. The M&P9 has now replaced my Kimber Pro CDP as a carry gun.

I am a huge fan of the M&P pistols. :D
