Woke up this morning to reports of the shooting at the Cascades Mall in the Seattle, WA area.  Then I saw the security camera footage of the perp and the claims from law enforcement and the media that he appears to be Hispanic.

Does that guy look Hispanic to you?  Because he doesn't look Hispanic to me.  He looks like a young Arabic male. :bored:

I'm not saying that the officials and media out there are tripping over themselves to avoid calling it another act of Islamic terror, but I might be thinking it.

I hear what you're saying about profiling, but folks have really let the leftists turn that into a bad word.  We all profile, and we are all profiled.  It's a viable, valuable tool.  But I digress! :)

The facial features don't look like those commonly shared by Hispanics any more than I look like Mike Tyson.  Maybe I'm wrong and it's just bad camera footage, but this guy's appearance in this photo doesn't fit their narrative in my opinion.

Wow, I'm at the Cascades Station and mall area a lot. That guy definitely looks mid-eastern to me. As soon as I saw that pic, I was reminded of this one taken back in 2001. He doesn't look any more hispanic than the 9/11 hijacker did.

How many times has the news ever reported that a hispanic has gone into a mall and started a shooting spree just shooting people at random?  Then how many times has an islamic terrorist walked in and done it? I myself have never heard of a hispanic doing it but maybe someone else has.............jmho

I don't see Arabic, or Hispanic to the point of identification from that photo...so maybe witnesses gave the Hispanic description? Easy enough to see, since both Arabs and Hispanics can widely vary in appearance, and even overlap depending on skin tone.

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk just to give Oh Shoot something to be grumpy about.

Well he really doesn't look like your average white guy but beyond that I can't tell. Obviously none of us will be shocked if it is determined he was inspired by ISIS.

The discription, as reported, was from witness accounts. I think it can go either way, but Hispanic terrorists are few.  Of course, it could end up being a domestic issue, but I doubt it.  My first blush is a lone wolf ISIS attack.

That's the first thing that I thought when I saw the picture last night.

Cant really tell anything from that pic.

My brother is Italian and American Indian, he can and has passed for either of those, plus various Hispanic nationalities, Indian from India, black Irish, and middle eastern.

Now, that's not to say I don't have my suspicions, just merely that I don't think anyone in the media, or possibly even eye witnesses would be reliable at this point.

My educated guess would have been along the lines of TGO David's but I will freely admit the person in question could as easily be of Latin origin as well. Unfortunately the realities of contemporary history and current times point towards TGO David's initial premise.

I'd say white folks lead this race, with arabs a close second.

It very well could be that, the intelligence community is checking to see if Isis claims he is one of theirs before it is made known he is actually from the sands far east and not south. This would determine whether the wave is from shot callers or lone wolves.

If Isis claims the attack then they most likely had prior knowledge of the event.

or he could, actually, be from the sands south of the country that matters....
