My wife's grandmother has one she wants to sell, is that even a thing? I know absolutely nothing about these. Are they resalable?  Where would you list it? Thanks for any info on this.

They work. Easier to load than a wood stove. Many have a hopper to feed them so you only have load them a couple times a day.  And unlike a coal stove the ash is harmless.  Consider listing it on Craigslist or other community websites

They produce good clean heat very economically but need to use a some form of electricity to run an exhaust fan to expel he smoke through an outlet pipe. The Outlet pipe is generally, but not always, run through a wall. Some stoves are much better then others and some of the older stoves are very nice. Just like with a wood stove the pellet stove and its exhaust pipe have to be cleaned out every year. Some folks use an air compressor, some use a leaf vac, I'm sure that there are other ways. I always wanted a pellet stove but used wood stoves instead. One thing to bear in mind with pellet stoves is you purchase bagged wood pellets by the pallet and stockpile them for future use.  I'd be interested in hearing what brand stove she has. You can research it here...http://www.hearth.com/talk/forums/the-pellet-mill-pellet-and-multifuel-stoves.14/
