I just got back from seeing it... it was amazing. It was definetly worth the $8 to see it. I'll be buying it the day it comes out and I'll probably watch it twice on that day. :D

i'll get the dvd becuase i just hate going to the theater, especially around here, and their schedule ever works out with mine.

Looks like it will be great though.

I watched it last night. I have never said this before but it was worth every penny of the:

$9.75 X2 for tix

$18 for the candy and cokes

I really liked it.

Great movie. Modded Garand (No M-1 thumb!) ftw!

Drove home a couple points I was kinda letting myself slide on--it's nice when you go to a movie and can take home more than just entertainment.

This really is an incredible movie. If you havent treated yourself to the theater in awhile this film is worth paying the price of admission. Easily the best movie I have seen in the last 6 months if not longer.

My son (12) is really wanting to see it. How is it on the

Cussing? Any nudity/Sex?

In other words would you take your 12 year old to see it?

No nudity, no sex, quite a lot of cussing and lots of racial slurs...though no N word. Of course there is some blood and violence. I think its all acceptable because its "real" and does have a strong message.

That's what I was wondering, if the language is in context and not there just for the sake of being there... that's different to me.

Thanks!

Its not like Jay and Silent Bob if thats what your wonderin lol. Yes I would say almost all the language is in context. If I had kids that were 12 I would definitely take them to see this movie.

I took him to see Valkyrie with Tom Cruise. He's becoming a big WWII buff.

We saw the trailer for Gran Torino and "Defiance". He's been talking about those two movies ever since. Sounds like a good "Father and Son" type of movie.

I took my little brother with me and I didn't feel the slurs were too offensive most of them are kinda a little comical and almost all the people in the theater were laughing. I would never go out and repeat them to an Oriental person but I wouldn't hesitate to take any kid 10+

My neighbor went to see "Gran Torino" and said he would rate it a 12 on a 1 to 10 scale, but he didn't like the way it ended. I'm going to have to check it out for myself.
