Wanted: a few good fishermen

Hi folks,

I need the help of a few good fishermen (or fisherwomen). My wife works with a wildlife rehabilitator helping injured birds at Upstate Birds of Prey . They've currently got a young Osprey named Oz. He got tangled up in some wire as a chick and ended up with some nasty wounds to his legs. Osprey are typically fairly difficult to rehab because they generally don't eat in captivity. OZ isn't your typical Osprey, he eats like a teenager. He doing great and and his legs are healing nicely, but it's proving difficult to come up with enough fish to feed him.

If any of you would be willing to donate your catch to help feed Oz, we'd greatly appreciate it. He'll eat most any sort of panfish, sunfish (brim, bluegill, crappie, bass...), or small catfish. If you've got some fish you'd like to donate, please call Upstate or PM me and we'll come pick them up. They can be fresh or iced.

check for local tourneys, most are catch and release, but they might have some leftovers that might help.  GL

Thanks, we picked up about 30 lbs of bass and catfish from a local fishing guide this evening.  That should last a week or so.

Also took the kids fishing and caught a handful of bluegill, they had a big time.  Well, except for when my youngest caught himself .  But he pulled the hook out before I got there and a bandaid made it all better.
