RIP Gene Wilder

If there is any such thing as an upside to this, it would be the part I underlined.

His nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman said he died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. He was 83.

His nephew said in a statement, “We understand for all the emotional and physical challenges this situation presented we have been among the lucky ones — this illness-pirate, unlike in so many cases, never stole his ability to recognize those that were closest to him, nor took command of his central-gentle-life affirming core personality. The decision to wait until this time to disclose his condition wasn’t vanity, but more so that the countless young children that would smile or call out to him “there’s Willy Wonka,” would not have to be then exposed to an adult referencing illness or trouble and causing delight to travel to worry, disappointment or confusion. He simply couldn’t bear the idea of one less smile in the world.

RIP Gene. You made me laugh and smile. He will always be one of the best. Say hello to Gilda for me, she was one of the best too.

I just happened to watch Blazing Saddles last week, hilarious! I'm still laughing!

RIP Mr. Wilders!

Can't recall reading one negative thing about him.  Usually, you spend as long as he did in a place like Hollywood, someone tries to cut you down a little.  Hell of an actor and his works will be around well after all of us are gone.

Young Frankenstein is one of my favorite movies that I have on my shelf, and I also loved Blazing Saddles. Gene and Madeline Kahn crack me up, WOOF!

I like to think he's back with Gilda. He really loved her a lot.

He said that she was the love of his life and I believe it since I don't think that he ever re-married.

Along with Beiber, lets throw in Florida Georgia line and all the executives on Music Row.

Don't even have to get anything for them, just get them out of here!
