Getwell and Raines. And I drive through a few seedy, gang-ridden areas coming in from T County.

Wow! May I suggest a 12 Ga. shotgun to accompany your pistol!:D

Good luck with your holstered handbag. I believe you made a good decision since you were leaning that way, for your carry needs. If it works for you, then that is all that matters!

Stay armed and stay safe.

If I ever have to resort to that, I'll pull my other halfs 12 ga. out of the closet. I dont think they make a handbag big enough for that though. :D

Driving through these areas in the dark has sure been an eye-opener, so to speak. The Jackson and National area isn't my favorite route, but it's the quickest for me. One of my co-workers was robbed a few weeks ago at the Getwell/I-240 area and I used to stop close to where he was to get cheap gas. Won't do that anymore. :(

Saints, not knowing this area very well, I don't know where your location is in relation to mine. 55 and 3rd sounds like downtown to me?? Once I cross Park, I'm pretty much lost if it isn't on my path to the office. Before, I always worked on the Bartlett/Germantown side of Memphis so I'm terribly unfamiliar with this neck of the woods. I didn't even realize I was in a bad area of town until after I began working here, and then I heard on the news that this zip has the highest homicide rate in Memphis. Not long after that I signed up for my carry permit class.

Getwell and Raines. You work for Walker J?

I picked up another holster for the P3AT today as a replacement for the pocket holster I'd given away. Next time we're at Pratt's, my gun won't be quite as conspicuous. My handgun I mean. :D

While there we discussed this matter of woman carry. Basically, we came up with the same solution you arrived at Dixie.
