Bersa Thunder 45 Ultra Compact

thinking about buying one. I like to know what the owners think of them and the pro and cons also on them. Do they FTF alot? Jam? picky about ammo? I am going to used it for my CCW....

I have one bought it used.I really like It alot I guess maybe 400 rounds I took carry class with it. It had a couple of ftf issues before a good cleaning none since. I like the decocker safety feature "disengaging trigger" I take it and a p245 sig to range because I can't decide which I like best. I read somewhere to be careful on what you use to clean the nickle finish some of the solvent will hurt it I use breakfree clp which is suppose to be ok bersa has forum with a lot of info do a search for "bersa talk" I shoot pmc blazer brass the ftf were with mag tech don't know if that was problem or dirty gun

Magazines are fairly expensive. The one I had wouldn't feed Federal's American Eagle FMJ but did good with everything else. The nickle looks cheap but the blued or matte guns finish is fairly good. Not a bad gun but not one of my favorites.

That's a good deal. I paid $300.00 plus TIC & Tax for 9MM UC NIB with two 13 rnd mags.

I agree with mw about nickle finish I have one but I bought used . $290 with holster ftf. Found extra mag on lsn $25 "luck" Do you know anybody that will let you try before you buy? The grips are a little thick I don't have big hands but they suit me fine. I trust mine well to carry in rotation

Go with the Bersa UC 9mm. There are reports of short lifespan of the 45UC -- or, converesly, early repair required. The 9UC is loved my many -- including myself.

Granted, hard to find these days -- though I DID find one online just last week:D. (Yeah, I bought it!)
