I braved the show again this morning.....I went early and it was actually fairly pleasant.....there wasn't the huge lines and you could actually move around and see most of the guns. I took a couple to try an sell, lots of lookers, but no takers. Lots of people looking for guns at half what they're worth. I ended up making an offer on a Browning BDA 380 and it followed me home......I getta keep it right? :) Its gonna be my girlfriends new pistola most likely. I like it so far......the medallions had popped out of the grips as most do, I'll probably keep my eye out for some pachmayrs for it.

Did any one besides me spot a smiling Lumpy Lambert (Knox Co. Commissioner) at the show wearing a "Vendor" tag? Didn't see him at any booths, just wandering around the floor like on security detail or something..

A rather odd, possibly mentally defective old man apparently got lost on the way to the show and wandered into the Ranger station at the zoo today ....had several more firearms in the car as well as a gigantic taser looking device and several boxes of stuff in the back.

It wasn't me, I swear!

Hey, since nobody had to shoot him, you should have tried to score some stuff off him!

I went to the show today with Oh Shoot. I had a good time in spite of one setback.

Could not find a 139.00 9mm Hi-Point compact. Found one that included a knife but the price was not suitable. Saw a 995 for 199 bucks, tried to talk OS into buying it but he would not commit. I ended up getting a IWB holster for my SP101, a 15 round Inland magazine for my M1, and box of bullets for a small handgun that remains to be seen if I got screwed or got a decent deal on. I will know more tomorrow hopefully.

Was there when it opened and it was not crowded at all. Filled up pretty good by the time we left around 1:30. The prices on handguns seemed pretty fair. Actually down a little from the Thanksgiving show I went to. Ammo is still high, imagine that!

Anyway it was fun.

myself and four others drove up from chattanooga to get out of town, and go to a gun show. (the one at the Cleveland NG armory was poor with only 10 dealers total).

it was a bit crowded at times, but all in all I enjoyed it. one person came home with a nice S&W 38, another did some horse trading, my GF got a bag and I came home with a molle2 vest, a $20 kuri and a remington 22LR in mossy oak Pink (its for the GF anyway...)

had a blast and got to play at a gun show :koolaid: the only thing better is shooting :D

I bought two $4 ammo boxes and one $5 actual gummit MRE, 'cause I've never tried one. Menu no. 23, Chicken with Cavatelli. Not just "pasta", but Cavafriggintelli. Pretty hoity toity foxhole chow, seems to me.

The MRE has potential of being more lethal than Mike's mousegun, we'll see. :koolaid:

can't decide now if I want to go to another, not really that much different from the last. The biggest thing was getting to be around all those pistols & rifles, ahhhh, smell the air......

I did find out a pistol my dad owns is dated pre-1877 and was manufactured in Belgium and it was a pinfire 9MM, however, no one could/would tell me how much it was worth. Should have figured, oh well, I'll look it up on the web.

as soon as I figure out how to post pixs i'll do it - seem to be having some difficulty

Gotta upload them somewhere and link to them here.

I don't think the Gallery part of TGO is enabled.

Here's basic hints from your own ISP, using ComCast as example:

PhotoBucket.com is one of several other popular places, you can do so much there for free I think.

Back to first step.

Did you figure out how to put pix on your Comcast webspace?

Or on another place, like PhotoBucket?

Until you can do that, you can't post a pic here.

Once you can get your pics onto a site which allows linking, then you simply use the insertimage.gif icon above posting window here on TGO to put the URL in.

If you'll use the post in the thread in link in your post above, I told you how to find how to put pix on your Comcast service.

Also, ComCast has support line, I suppose they'll walk ya through it, if you can wait on hold long enough.

best o' luck,

Close the book on this particular gun show!

Parts for the FN .25 vest pocket pistol showed up today. They dropped right in.

Just test fired the pistol and it goes bang. Waiting for the rain to slack off to test it out further!

Ends up being a pretty good deal on what I originally was afraid was only a paperweight.
