Hug your parents today!

My father lost a long battle with Parkinson's early this morning. He went at home surrounded by his family. We will never be able to express our love as much as we would like for our parents. We will miss dad greatly. He was an avid shooter and a great man. Ha taught me many needed lessons in life.

Hug your parents today and tell them how much you love them.

RIP Dad! You are at peace and the journey now begins anew.

Very sorry for your loss.

Lost my mom July 27th. She was given 2 months to live almost 7 years ago.  She beat cancer but her liver and kidneys eventually failed from the treatments.  We cherished every day these last 7 years.  Thought I was somewhat prepared for this but wasn't even close.  Been a rough month as she rapidly declined and the last week especially hard since we talked or texted everyday.  She was the biggest supporter of everything my brother and I have done.

I just returned Sunday from my father's funeral in Florida.  He gave cancer a good fight but passed away at the age of 90.  Much the same situation as yours ggwilde

It will be a year this next Labor Day that I sent my Mom on ahead....a year of firsts without her....yes the tears dry and the pain fades but it never really stops hurting. Cherish the memories, honor the past and live a good life with gratitude......

My condolences for you and your family, n0rlf.  You may not be ready for the hurt of today, but because of your father, it seems you're ready for what may come tomorrow.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Dad loved shooting. That picture was an outing with my Sister back in April. He truly loved guns and shooting. He was a great patient man and taught many first timers how to shoot.

I have lots of great memories and will cherish them forever. I cannot say it enough, call your Mother and Father today and tell them you love them. They can never hear that enough

Sorry for your loss. My Mom has been gone for 20 years - time does help but there are still times I'll reach for the phone to call her with some news.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. I lost my dad in 86 and my mom in 2007. I love them both to this day and think of them both almost daily. The pain gets easier, but the thoughts and the love stay with you. Cherish them both.
