Texas College Carry Legal August 1st

College carry in Texas became legal this week.  You carry legally at both public and private colleges.  From what I understand, the private colleges can ask you to leave, but the public colleges can't ask you to leave.  You are required to conceal.

Too bad TN RINO's gave us such a watered down version of college carry that only benefits public college full time employees.  I doubt that any private college employees can even legally carry because the private college must give the green light in policy or it is still a felony offense.

According to the TV news clip I saw last night, the private colleges can "opt out" of the bill, and most have or will.  In addition, news clip stated must be 21 to carry, (no other details provided)and that will eliminate quite a few people/students from being able to legally carry.

Yeah it was my understanding that the private schools can opt out there but that if you have a license you can't be criminally charged for a weapons violation.  I'd have to look into this.
