I've been out of archery for quite some time, but have caught the THWACK!! bug again pretty serious. SOOOO much has changed in the last 12 years or so that I've been out, I really need some expertise as I tread back into the water. I can do the online research, and piece together what 'everybody else does' but there's no substitute for hands-on experience. I'm also leary of BassPro, but will go there if I have to. So...where do the locals go? I don't mind travelling to go to a real specialty shop. Somewhere where a pro can match me with the right outfit! Kind of like the Hero-Gear for archery? Or the Guns & Leather for bows? You get my drift...

The guy at Murfreesboro outdoors is really good, they can be high on somethings but he knows his stuff. I have had good experience with him in the past.

There is a place, Steve's I think it's named, on Hwy 412 headed towards Columbia from I-65. Haven't stopped in, but there's always a number of cars in the lot. I also think there's a bow range on the premises, indoors or outdoors I also do not know. (I'm just a plethora of info. LOL)

Go see Joe at Hermitage Archery. By far the best archery shop in mid tenn IMHO.

Kahrman, that's the one shop that seems to be popping up in casual conversation with numerous people. Thanks.

Joe's can be easy to miss, it's across the street from a church look for the building behind he house.

I think there is a sign by his mailbox.

My girlfriends brother-in-law used to run a shop in La Vergne. He still has contacts in the field. If you want, I can ask him if he would be willing to help with things. I know at this point, he does a lot of refurbing and powder coating of bows. Just let me know and I'll ask.
