HCP early renewal

Recommended Posts

My HCP is up for renewal in May 09. Anyone know how far in advance renewals are possible? I thought it was 6 months, but have not verified. I've been thinking about renewing early and wonder if others are doing the same.

my son tried and they told him 90 days or less before he could re-new

They told him wrong. You can renew up to six months before it expires, and I would too since it'll probably take 6 months for you to get your new license anyhow.

I always renew mine at least 2 months in advance. I;m not due for 2 more years. I'll probably do it a lil early next time around since it seems like its taking longer these days.

This might be stupid is it just to the amount of permits being issued. Or just more red tape. Like I said about 2months from expire then I renew. Last two renewals only took a couple weeks to get the liscense back.

There was a backlog earlier this year. You can read more about it in this thread.

Yep, took me 5 months almost to the day I sent in the paperwork to get mine. And I sent it in about 90 days early. Feb-July.
