Reminds me of a couple guys that I ran into one time down and the Narrows of the Harpeth River back many years ago. They would not believe me when I told them that they could float a day float with one vehicle. Most folks float from bridge to bridge and need to use 2 vehicles. If you launch just above the Narrows and tie your boat off and drive over the hill and park at the lower end of the Narrows you can use 1 vehicle. You get about a 10 mile river float yet it is only about 3/4 mile by road. They said that I didn't know what I was talking about but I had made that float a 100 times at night catching catfish on the sholls. The river does not go in a circle but is does wind around so many bends that it is about 10 miles of river to go 3/4 mile by road.............lol

There is a cut across trail as well, quite handy not to take two vehicles.
