Internet Radio Service Pandora Endorses Black Lives Matter Following Dallas Shootings

I'm not seeing the nose dive.

They don't appear to be up for the year, but the day, week and month seem to be in the black.

I'm not a Pandora user, but I just don't see the market at large punishing this.

For the record, +0.23% for the day.

I'll still use Pandora...there wasn't anything controversial about what they did.

posting support for BLM and that there is racial injustice, the morning after the police were murdered at the protest isn't controversial?  Not a blink about the officers.

Their first sentence was "Our hearts ache for all those who unfairly lost their lives."  Just because five police officers lost their lives in the line of duty doesn't nullify that there is racial injustice.  Maybe it was an omission that they didn't mention the police officers specifically, but I'm not upset by it.

It's also worth noting that BLM had nothing to do with the shooter and vice versa.

I don't use any streaming services. I don't like their artist compensation models. I do this really weird thing called actually buying music. Lots of digital and lots of vinyl.

You're right, it has nothing to do with the shooter.  But the fact that they openly say they support a racist organization that is primarily anti-police (and I may add, that Putin even put on a terrorist list) after 5 police officers were murdered while on duty protecting BLM is enough to draw a conclusion on where they stand.

It's not court, we don't need forensically verified video and audio recordings of the meeting that created/allowed that post to be made to form a reasonable opinion.

I don't know where you get racism from BLM since they aren't advocating the superiority of African Americans over others.

Supporting BLM doesn't equate to being anti-police.  I don't see anything in Pandora's statement leading me to that as a reasonable opinion.

Not going to get into a philosophical debate on technicalities on this one.  You can find one person that quotes one thing, I will find one that quotes another and so on.

I just got an email from Pandora yesterday morning saying that they had a security breach and that my account login and password had been posted up on some internet site... SEVERAL MONTHS AGO   And this is the first I'd heard about it???

Now they're supporting BLM? Why do you as a music streaming business need to support an organization like that? Why do you even release that statement? Well, revenue of course. So now you're making money off of police officers being murdered?

Nah, I'm good. I'll be checking out Apple Music, Spotify and the rest to see who I'd rather use.
