Always check your vehicle before going home

I really should have been more observant and thoroughly looked at my truck before going home yesterday. Instead, now I have to feed this Ruger sr762!

I've been researching the .308 AR platform for a few months now and was going to wait and build one. However, lower receivers are not exactly easy to find even at regular price. I figured in lieu of recent events and the upcoming election, things are not going to get any cheaper. Due to my recent move I now have to hurry up and get my reloading room set up so I can start feeding this thing a healthy diet.

Cool rifle, I've heard so much negative stuff about 7.62x51 AR's that its kind of soured me on them. But there are lots of people shooting them with great success. Yours looks great!

I went with the Ruger partially because of the adjustable gas system. I thought it would come in convenient for when I get my stamp for my can comes back. Also, for what I was looking to build this came pretty close and at a decent price. I didn't even realize that it came with 3 Pmags until I had already decided to buy it.

Yeah the 308 platforms are usually cheaper to buy complete than to build it most of the time.Great deer rifles too if you hunt.

I didn't buy any guns for over a year in order to save up for one. Best part is that I've been talking to my wife about the recent events and trying make up my mind between a .308 AR or an Ak47. Her response.....do whatever you want. Now that's a good wife! I missed out on a good Yugo but I did put a Wasr 10 on order.

I think you made the right choice buying instead of building.  I picked up a PSA keymod upper for a good deal in Nov.  It took until Feb to get the lower.  Here we are in July and I still haven't found the bcg.  I'm signed up for the email notification, but they sell out by the time I get one in my cart and paid.  Ready to take my chances with another dpms style bcg.

If it ever gets to be too much to handle I will take your rifle in and raise it to be a nice black rifle. You can visit from time to time but no more than once every two weeks. All joking aside congrats on your new purchase.

In my experience, "do whatever you want" does NOT mean I can do whatever I want. That's a woman's way of saying "Do it. I triple dog dare you to do it. Don't bother coming home if you do it."

In the context in which she said it, I knew I was ok. We both have our hobbies but we make sure all the bills are paid first. When I got home with it, she just looked at me, smiled, and said Merry Christmas early!  Plus, it kinda helped that when we bought the new house that she got to pick out all new stainless appliances. She loves to cook and is darn good at it. I know I'm a lucky man to be married to her!
