LEO's and CO's, good place to buy a Vest?

At my current job, my employer can't seem to get any vests in that fit anyone larger than a 5.2ft 120lb female. I'm pretty tired of having to wear old used vests that are every size but what fits and smell bad sine they're shared between all shifts, too. :shake:

I'd like to know where you can get good affordable (if that's possible) vests either locally or online. It needs to be able to stop shanks, zip guns, and bullets, but not be too bulky. I have to be able to move to put on/off full restraints, and for self-defense, etc.

Thanks!

Are you working corrections? Sounds like you want a stab vest more than bullet protection. I don't know much about stab vests but I'm sure they won't be cheap or comfortable. You could get a decent level 2 concealable vest for around $300. Greenes military on Lebanon Rd or CMS Uniforms on Murfreesboro Pk.

I've been to Greens in Donelson before, but I don't recall seeing vests in there. I'll check again to be sure. Thanks.

Sounds like there are different kinds of protective vests, making it important to get the right one for the job.

I appreciate all of you who have a job where you need one.  I find it quite irritating when folks who lay their lives on the line have to pay for their own vest.  They are expensive.
