Welcome to TGO. I've adapted to retirement quite well. If you don't have a hobby then get one...something that peaks your interest and avoid the wife's honeydew list at all costs.

I am trying but going 100mph all over the world is hard to get use to and now the slow and relax pace. I do have a few hobbies and getting back into three gun competition will help.

Glad you are here.  Those hobbies will be critical.  Retirement for a lot of men leads to decline because they no long have a mission to accomplish.

One thing I think would be cool is to volunteer at The Stones River shooting range.  Those guys on the rifle range have a really good time.

I spent 26 years in the military then ran my own business for nearly 20 more so after a quad bypass I was ready to take it down a notch. But my hobby could easily develop into a business but I'm not about to get into that rat race ever again. Good luck getting adjusted to your new life and whatever you do...make sure you enjoy it for all it's worth.

I keep busy from working out and just things around here. I looked at contract work when I was retiring and glad I didn't take it the world has gone crazy. I am in Murfreesboro and heard there is a range in Woodbury I want to check out.

Howdy and Welcome to TGO    :D

Don't know about you but a job helped me stay sane and happy. Retirement is nice but some can not just quit work and be happy.

Maybe a part time job or a job dealing with your hobbies.

I retired in 1992 so I seemed to have gotten over the retirement hump.
