Best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most joyous traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, but with respect for the religious persuasion of others who choose to practice their own religion as well as those who choose not to practice a religion at all;

Additionally,

a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions have helped make our society great, without regard to the race, creed, color, religious, or sexual preferences of the wishes. (Disclaimer: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and no responsibility for any unintended emotional stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday spirit.)

That's because Amerika hates Jesus Christ.

You see, he promotes honesty, despises homosexuality, loves kindness and charity, but doesn't give free handouts to lazy people who wont work.

Basically, Jesus IS what amerika has come against. His political incorrectness means he is not wanted in this "civilized society":screwy:

Therefore, out of fear, they remove him from everything.

I have come to realize that this country really doesn't have as much of a problem w/ the idea of God like I thought. It's our saviour and Lord they hate.

Under his strict rule, they can't be free to do the things they want to do.

Out goes "Merry CHRISTmas" in comes Happy holiday!

The end is not far. A great turn from faith is just another sign. (Study 2Thess. 2nd chapter)

On a happy note, it won't be much longer and we might get a chance to shoot a few of 'em:up:

Heavenly Father, we worship You! we glorify thy Holy Name and the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In this season of the year, when thoughts turn inward to self_centered desires, help us and strengthen us to resist the natural man and desires within us for the things of the world.

May our desires and thoughts be on things eternal; the things that matter throughout the year; things that matter in living for Christ Jesus.

We can not escape the things that are happening all around us _ the things that tend to draw all men to the world's ways. But we can direct our passions, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to the purpose for Jesus' coming to earth, and not upon His arrival only.

Help us, therefore, to see Jesus completely instead of an isolated Christmas pageantry.

Help us to see the manger, the cross, and the empty tomb.

Let us learn His ways and experience His love.

Empower us with His compassion and with the will to obey and follow Him.

As the chill of winter is upon us, so let the love and peace of our Lord Jesus warm our hearts.

As the length of days are shorter, so let us see how short the time before His promised return.

As our hearts desire to sever the bondage of materialism, so let our hearts be drawn to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank You, Lord, for You have given mankind all that is necessary for a contented heart and life.

Lead us by your Holy Spirit to follow in the ways of contentment in Jesus Christ, that we shall be disciples indeed of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

We pray to You, heavenly Father, this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.

Exactly. What if you say this to a Jewish person that is not wearing a yamaka. And they say something like "I'm Jewish", I would go Oh, well Happy Hanukkah to you. And go on about my business.

We got, and not really us, but we as a society need to not be sorry for our beliefs, not be ashamed of our beliefs. We say, don't say Merry Christmas, well if you don't allow me to practice what I believe in then I"m the one offended. I'm not doing it. Forget it. I'm going to say Merry CHRISTmas and if that offends you, so what. go cry to someone, but I am not apologizing. If you are Jewish, Happy Hanukkah. If you are whatever, happy whatever, if you tell me Happy Hanukkah, I am not going to be offended, people need to stop being such wussies.

Rant over.:P

Yes, it is sad and when you do find them all they contain is corny poems or jokes with holiday greetings with pictures of santa and snowmen, not the real reason...God's gift to the world.
