There was a time when I wondered about the cult like following of the HK crowd... Why do they buy these overpriced firearms.... Then I bought one, then another, then another.... They are great shooters and my 3 were all inherently reliable enough to carry every day.... They feel right....

As to why we "prefer" one platform but carry another.....can it be as simple as reliability? We love a particular firearm, but it's not the most reliable one we have.... I'm a Glock "hater"... they feel funny in my hand and I don't shoot them well.....but I carried one for years because I trusted its reliability and my ability to deliver rounds on target if the need arised. Or maybe because some guns are too nice to carry.... I've never understood that one...

"The only proper way to photograph an HK is with backwards bullets in the magazine.

They are so badass, they still feed and shoot properly."
