Knox County Attorneys

How do you find out attorneys in Knox County that will defend a legal Handgun Carry Permit holder in the event that he or she should ever need an attorney?

The type of attorney that defends these type of cases is a defense attorney.  I'm here in Nashville. So I did Internet research to find the best defense attorneys and emailed one of the attorneys and have him in my contacts.

I will ask my attorney to contact Andrew Branca, who probably knows more about firearms self defense law than anyone in the country.  He isn't very popular on TGO as he joined and got banned for pushing his business or something - I wasn't here.

Chip?

No, he's in Nashville.

We have, or have had, several Knox ones on TGO, but the only one I can still find is:

I personally know one the big time criminal lawyers around here, Randy Reagan, has handled a bunch of high profile cases. Not surprisingly, he wouldn't be among the cheapest. :)

I was here. He’s a legend in his own mind. If I needed to have my attorney contact him; I wouldn’t use that attorney.

Dave,  I dunno.   There are many times when I refuse to do business with someone for the same reason you are giving.

I view a firearms defense case kind of like brain surgery.  If I needed brain surgery, I want the surgeon with the best knowledge and skills and will pass on the one with good bedside manor.

I've listened to him talk firearms self defense law for six hours and he knows a tremendous amount.  Here in middle TN, any of the defense attorneys wouldn't have handled more than a handful of firearms self defense cases.

You might check with who the PBA attorneys are for your area, they are generally well versed in the self defense laws because that is how they defend LEO use of force.
