Frog Stabbing Protest in Smithville

I don't see an issue as long as they plan on having a frog bake, or boil, or whatever.

If the meat is getting eaten, no harm done IMO. I'm sure worst case scenario there would be umpteen homeless shelters happy to get the meat. Hobo's dining on frog legs and goose liver, now there's an image.

Make sure you carry a back-up, large caliber firearm when you gig, cuz if you wound them, they will charge.

Oh my gosh, what do these people eat? Plastic?

Frogs legs are yummy, and there's plenty of frogs to spare. What get's me is how uninformed these folks are. Mistaking an endangered toad for a frog? No, there's a big distinction there, and habitat differences. Giggers know what's good, and legal to harvest ... bullfrogs only, period.

I dined on a lot of them when I was younger and more ambitious to wade ponds all night. Only problem was what took you four hours to gig, you could eat in 4 minutes! Nothing better!

A small community near my hometown holds an annual frog leg festival as a fundraiser.  It has been come quite well known and is  protested every year by the Pansies.  Google Fellsmere Frogleg Festival.  Strangely enough, no one ever protests the neighboring communities seafood festivals.

Reminds me of the woman who wrote a letter to the editor of her paper complaining that she didn't understand why people had to kill to eat since she just went to the supermarket to get her hamburger meat.

Next thing you know they'll tell us we can't snipe hunt anymore.....

You joke, but we really do have snipe hunting here, and you can only shoot them in season.
