Hey everybody, I'm from just south of the Memphis border in MS but frequent Memphis. I joined because I wanted to ask you all a question. I have a CCW permit, and the building I work in does NOT have signs posted at any entrance that says you can not bring in firearms. However, deep within the company policies it says there are to be no firearms on the property and that the company policy supersedes any state permit that would otherwise allow you to carry. Just wondering if that would really supersede my Conceal permit? Any help is appreciated.

Yes the policy supercedes your permit. It is part of the contract of your employment.

Welcome, come on in, first round on the FNGs. Make mine a couple of 22 LR.

Now on your question, sounds like you have giving thoughts about "why not carry" in spite of the sign. Well if caught you just might loose your job. On the other hand with out your firearm you are just a target.

Yea, tough decision I think about it everyday. I've thought about just getting a small .380, very concealable. No one would know it's there but me. I have a  .40 shield and while in plain clothes it's very easy to conceal, in business attire it gets a little harder. On the other hand I enjoy what I do and depend on that job to provide for my family, so decisions decisions.

Just get you a good holster or something with tuckable struts.

Howdy and Welcome to TGO    :D

As for company policy they may fire you for carrying on their property if you are found out. It is a choice you must make but remember you may have to pay a price if found out.

Welcome!

An LCP in Thunderware should hide from all but a metal detector :)

It's a very tough decision. I think it depends on the job, the circumstances and the people that you work with everyday.
