Ugh, last week was a rough one.

Last week was pretty bad.  Let's see... I have been fighting this sinus crap for a week and a half.  I stirred up a bunch of yellow jackets while working in the yard Saturday and thankfully only got stung twice.  I had a pretty good reaction to the stings considering my wrist and ankle are still about twice the size as normal.  On Sunday I spent about 7.5 hours on the lake with no sunscreen.  I got absolutely roasted.

For the grand finale, while I was packing up my car from the day's festivities on the river, I pulled my modified G19 from one of the bags to secure it back in my car.  Well, I didn't make it that far.  I got distracted and laid my holstered gun on my trunk and then proceed to help a few others with their bags.  On my way back to the car, I forgot to pick up my gun and proceeded to drive off.  Ten minutes later I knew forgot something.  When I drove back to the boathouse to pick up my gun...poof...it was gone.  I looked around for 20-30 minutes, but I couldn't find it.  Out of anger and frustration I stupidly left my Oakley Half Jackets in the pavement and drove off.  While I was mad about losing one of my favorite guns, I was really upset that I lost my temper and destroyed a really nice pair of sunglasses out of disgust.

I'm glad that weeks like that happen very rarely.  My last event along these lines resulted in a dislocated shoulder due to my anger and frustration.

Did you file any kind of report for your missing gun?  Maybe if it's found you can recover it...long shot though.

Ugh.  Bad things usually come in 3's, but it appears they come in 5's for you.  Hopefully you've met your quota for a while.

Yes.  I filed a missing gun report with the Sheriff's Department yesterday.  I don't anticipate getting it back.

Unbelievable.  My gun has been found and the Sheriff's Department has it for me.  ☺

That's crazy. Proof that there are good people out there that do the right thing. Glad to hear you got it back. How did the cops treat you during all this?

They were great about the entire situation and even cracking some jokes about what to do with the money I will save.  To be honest with you, anytime I have had to deal with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, they have been really good and professional,
