Gallatin Gun Club IDPA Match

Gallatin Gun Club will host its monthly IDPA match this Saturday June the 11th. 100 rounds will get you through the match. Plan on 5stages. Match fees are $10 for club members and $15 for non-members. Set up at 7:00, start at 9:00. 

We ask that returning shooters join IDPA after your first match. This helps to support IDPA with their efforts around the country.

Good turnout despite the heat today, thanks for all the help.

 

ETA: For all those that will ask, I got to DQ myself before firing the first shot today ...My Revo was placed in the glove box, when I picked up the weapon to exit the car, the hammer spur hung the edge of the box and the gun rolled out of my hand. It was like slow motion as it left my hand. The good news and lesson for those that handle their firearms, if you drop it, let it fall. Had I tried to continue reaching there could have been an AD while trying to grab it. It doesn't make the DQ (my first and hopefully last) any easier to deal with, but knowing the "what could have happened" didn't happen.

Big thanks to everyone who set up and run the match today. I ran off to Rockcastle and did the 3 man 3 gun match.

Joe Joe Joe.......it's a matter of when not if. I got my only dq for dropping a firearm as well. It happens, drive on
