Academy in Smyrna had a 75B Omega last week, I think the price was $499. Super tempted, but I resisted.

Yep. I keep trying to sell it! Come by and pick it up :)

Also check out the Canik clones of the CZs. They come in at a more attractive price and seem to be about as good but the trigger is standard CZ.

I have a C-100 which is a clone of the CZ 75B compact. Academy Sports seem to be the only ones in Clarksville to carry them.

They seem to get very good reviews, and if I understand correctly, they can use the CZ mags, as well.

My only problem with the Omega trigger system is that WHEN you fall in love with the gun, there's nothing you can do to make it any better. The original SA/DA trigger smooths considerably around 500 dry-fires/rounds AND can be upgraded to competition quality by folks likee David at Cajun Gun Works. I took one apart myself once, will never do that again. Taking that sucker apart makes detail stripping a Ruger Mark II look as easy as field stripping a Glock in comparison.

Isn't it already great? So I've been told... never felt one.

I'm a SA/DA guy anyway, so I don't mind the factory trigger at all. BUT...I've got a SP-01 that was sent to CZ Custom for custom trigger work and a 75 Shadow that came from the factory already tricked out. Both have such fantastic triggers that even an experienced shooter can accidentally double-tap if you ride the sear just right.

I've got the CZC  SDP, it wants to fire fast...

Supposedly CZC can do some tinkering to make the omega better, but $200 better? I'm almost willing to be the rest case...

I've had 3 or 4 CZs over the years. My favorite was the 85 Combat that had this shiny finish.  TGOr Plinker4life has a 75 that he installed the Cajun Gun Works trigger kit.  That is one nice pistol.  I fell out of love with them, traded them all for something or other, which escapes me now.

More than likely, traded to feed that .22 demon you got...lol

Any new projects or pieces to post?

Was in Everything Weapons this past week picking up a special order and saw the new 'urban grey' suppressor ready series that CZ has come out with.

I held three of them and lo and behold a CZ 75 P-01 with the omega trigger jumped in my truck. Really like the trigger.

Ran it through it's paces today in the woods shooting steel at about 20 yards. Ran and shot great. Was hitting very consistently both suppressed and straight up. Really sweet little gun. Love the color and how it fits my hand.
