CZ 75...is there a dealer north of Nashville who stocks these?

I'd like to be able to look at several of the variations. I think i'd like a 75, but don't know enough about them to know which one.

Yeah Guns and Leather at both of their locations . I have bought several CZ's there in the past . Awesome people and family owned.

You guys have any suggestions? I'm wanting a full size, 9mm plinker. I like the looks of a CZ75. I see there are many different variations, and don't know enough to know which one I want.

I like my Smith and Wesson 39-2, and shoot it some. It is in near perfect condition, and they no longer make them, so I am loathe to expose it to much wear.

How about a basic CZ 75B?  It's pretty much the original '75.  Feels great in the hand, is all steel and absurdly accurate.

Sounds like me. I was just afraid I was missing something.

There are a lot of variations but if you just want something for range fun it really fits the bill IMHO.  Mine is frequently in the range bag.

Mine is an Omega.  My understanding is the trigger system is "simplified".  Doesn't mean a whole to to me as I've never had a regular to compare it to.

The Omega trigger is considerably smoother and quite an improvement over the standard. Sorta like spending money on a trigger job.

IMO the omega is a better trigger than the standard one. which isn't saying much, I spent quite a bit fixing the standard trigger on my 75b matte stainless, but how sweet it is. But if I had my choice when buying I would pick the omega trigger.

Do you guys stock them?

I've got a 75B Omega...the most obvious difference in the trigger system is the trigger bar.

On a standard or a P01, the trigger bar is a u shape and straddles the mag well. The omega trigger bar is a single leg. I believe (not verified) this my be the system in the p06 / p07 line.

If you want an all steel duty-rated range gun, home defense/night table, and carry I think you'll be pleased.

I'm toying with the idea of sending mine to CZC  for a tune up...about $200 plus shipping...

What's a "tune up?"

New hammer, trigger, springs and whatever magic they perform on the internals.

If they can get it close to the SDP I got from them, it should be pretty darn sweet.

No, but we can order one for ya! And you're welcome to check out my personal compact anytime. I can let you know my schedule this week.

Just out of curiosity why don't you carry them?  They're very highly regarded by owners but many stores don't seem to stock them.

Well, if it was MY shop, we would. But, the powers that be... have different tastes.

If David would order them, they wouldn't stay on the shelf.  I would love to see SGS become a full CZ dealer with rifles and pistols.

So would I. I think that would be an excellent decision. I think what's influencing a decision against that are the two CZ .22 mag rifles we have and the CZ shotguns that have sat there for some time. Doesn't make CZ look like a good mover.

This Homer too!  75 SP-01 is my favorite of the stock models.

I have an SP-01 Shadow and love it.

I had an SP-01 Decocker model that I sold and it was great.

That gun was just used to take third in the ORSA IDPA State Competition Marksman division this past weekend. (Not me shooting it!)

I also have a 75 Compact sitting at CZ Customs getting a full work over.

I love my CZ's.  I doubt I'll pick up too many more non CZ pistols.

Itchy is the guru on them and got me hooked on CZ's.

I don't think it matters which you buy, or if you buy a full-size, compact or subcompact. You will likely get hooked and buy more. And then other CZ firearms.

CZ's are addictive. Prepare to make room for more of them in your safe. You have been warned. :)
