.303 British

Started looking around and found: 150/174/180 gr. / fmj-sp / boat tail  - non-boat tail.

All within pennies per round from assorted mfg'ers

Anticipate shooting no more than 300 yards from a sporterized SMLE.

Need some education!

Thanks in advance.

LOL. I started to link this earlier as I too received that e-mail.But I plead ignorant as to the quality of this ammo...but the price seems pretty decent.

The non corrosive is disclosed at WWII vintage with patina and dusty (?) and non reloadable.

Think Midway would step up if it turns out to be junk?

British ammo has a good reputation.   I've still got a bunch of WWII .303.  The POF was made in a plant the Brits built and is supposed to be decent, unlike their .308.

The wwII and Paki ammo are well known for click-no bang or extended hangfire

buy with caution

True that.  Great stuff for pretending you have a flintlock. Click...bang.  Click...bang.

Great for producing SEE conditions too if the primer pushes the bullet into the barrel before the powder charge ignites.  Pull the bullets on that Paki-crap and toss the rest.

British military mkVII was loaded with a 174 gr. FMJ flat base bullet.  I've done well with the Hornady 150 gr. SP.  It reduces recoil a bit and the larger .312 diameter may be advantageous if your Enfield has a larger bore.

If I were shooting factory ammo, I would look for the best price on PPU.

Hughd, thanks for the links, I forgot about Aim during my Google searches!

Swede, being new to the caliber and the Lee-Enfield, I  appreciate the info!
