Improving M&P Shield Trigger

Are there any other options besides Apex out there? I'll probably try my hand at polishing the sear, connector, etc. but that's a little far off right now. Still on the fence about screwing with the trigger but it makes me miss a Glock trigger.

I installed an Apex kit in mine and it started having FTFs. Went back to factory parts and it has been 100%.

I guess you could install just the trigger return spring but it will still feel as heavy.

Just got done putting two hundred rounds through it. Trigger is growing on me for sure. I think I'm gonna say screw the trigger and spend my money on some XS Big Dots.

I wonder why the trigger parts would cause FTFs? Strange that...

Big dots are perfect for this gun and not that expensive but be warned they do not make a version the has the tridum insert in the back sight.

The kit includes a reduced power striker spring. I put the factory striker spring back in and the FTFs stopped completely. The difference between the factory trigger return spring and the Apex trigger return spring is negligible so I saw no reason to keep any part of the kit.

Even my self defense ammunition was not 100% reliable  with the Apex kit. I will take a reliable 15 pound trigger over a unreliable 5 pound trigger.

I agree on the reliability side. If it doesn't work it's just an oddly shaped rock...

These problems interest me. I always learn something about some of the interactions between parts and function. Unexpected problems can have very interesting solutions.

Appreciate the heads up. I wasn't going to get the 24/7 version anyways. I have those on my 19 and I'm not terribly fond of them.

Look at the ameriglo front sight.  Shot. A 320 carry with those.  For my old eyes liked it better than a dawson f/o.  It was tritium surrounded by avivid orange. Ordered one for my FS 320.  Shield may be next.
