New From Nashville, and a Question!

Been a Nashville native for many years now, and also carried just as long. Shocked I'm just finding TGO but glad to be here. I must confess, I have a questions which helped motivated me to join up. I'm not sure if this is the right place to do it, but we'll give it a shot.

My cousin was arrested on a drug charges awhile back which have since prevented him from purchasing firearms for a year or so, or until he gets it expunged. Anyway, he's fallen on some hard times after getting himself together and getting clean. He was a law-abiding gun owner and carried before his run in. So here's my question. Can he sell his firearms to a gun retailer store, collector, or pawn shop without getting in trouble, or essentially, without getting a background check and getting in trouble. He's allowed to own the guns he had before his charge, but he cannot purchase more.

Thanks and great to be here!

Welcome!

He does not need a back ground check to sell. However, depending on the offense, he probably shouldn't be caught with them either. If he consents, I don't see why you couldn't sell them for him. Maybe get him to type up a letter giving you permission. Dunno.
