What's in your pocket most often?

Not sure if it's been done before.

What is your '24/7 every time I'm wearing clothes' edc pocket knife?

I've beecarryingng this Benchmade 556 Mini Griptilian every single day for the past 9 years. The only time it isn't in my pocket is on a plane.

I've cut everything you can think I could possibly cut with it. It's dressed 6 hogs, 4 deer, 3 coyotes & 11 raccoons.

I've spread mayo & mustard, opened countless boxes, un done screws, re tightened screws, opened a million snuff cans & popped the top of hundreds of beers.

I'd rather let you have an hour with The Wife than 10 minutes with this knife.

Mine is an Applegate Combat Folder 'first production run' that I got in the 90's.

i switched to an Emerson Karambit for a bit and sometimes carry fixed blades or neck knives but the Combat Folder just feels right to me.

Before Willis ruined my life, it was a Kershaw Blur tanto serrated.  Now it's the TGO TR4.  I carried the Magic twice, but it's just too cool to put to hard use and scuff up.  I still carry the Blur if I feel it may be a day where I might really abuse a knife or maybe lose it, like a boating trip or something.

I just really love the size and feel of the TR4, and the strength/rigidity of the blade is just astounding.  It impresses me anew every time I use it. I have all the TGO blades, and the TR4 is my favorite all-around so far.

I'm tempted to get one of the new Kershaw autos or a Benchmade of some sort just kinda' because, but I really can't believe I would like them any more than the knives Willis forced me to buy. ;-)

Usually a CRK Small Sebenza Insingo, or a Spyderco SuperBlue Caly 3.5 however on the weekends I switch it up.

It used to be a Mini Griptilian, then Willis tempted me with the Punisher TR4 and I have been carrying it ever since.

i have been really looking at the CRK Sebenza 21. I think that will be my next one.

Mine is currently a ZT 0566.   It used to be the ZT 0350.   Prior to that it was a Kershaw Volt II and further back it was a Gerber something.   I've progressively gotten into more expensive knives as time goes on but still have not given into the TGO Protech offerings.    Came real close on the Magic run.

A 1970 Penny my boy found in 1973 on the ground. He was 3 at the time so when I told him that penny is good luck cause it's the year you were born he gave it to me and I carry it every day since.

I'm seeing a theme here:

I carried a Spyderco that I absolutely LOVE for 5 or 6 years until Willis ruined it for me. Now all I want to carry is my Protech Magic. Not only is it the highest quality steel I've ever owned, but the cool factor is over the top. I've never been happier with any of my EDC gear than I am with this knife.

A Kershaw Cryo and Leatherman Blast. Works for what I need and I won't be heartbroken if it gets broken or lost.

I carried the Spyderco Tenacious daily before Willis became my latest drug dealer. Now I carry my TGO Runt at work, and my Protech TR4 Punisher all other times.

My second TGO Runt, TGO TR4 and all other TGO knives just sit in my safe. It's hard not to attempt to carry them all. They are such beautiful and quality knives.

Through the week I have a Spyderco Resilience in my pocket.  I prefer a blade that is closer to four inches or a little more because I just like them better.  I mostly use it for opening packages, peeling fruit and sometimes cutting other food at work but I still prefer a blade of about this length so I went looking for something with a blade a little longer than four inches as soon as the state law changed a couple of years ago.  It took a little while but I finally settled on the Resilience.  I looked at some of the longer Cold Steel knives in roughly the same (budget) price range but they seem kind of bulky whereas the Resilience offers a fairly heft blade size in a not so bulky knife.  It is my first Spyderco and is one of their 'budget' line but I really like it, especially after I convexed the edge (I just plain like convexed edges on pretty much any knife except a Scandi.)  It is 'only' 8Cr13MoV steel but I got it sharp and by hitting my sharpening steel and a leather belt about once a week or so I keep it shaving sharp or pretty close.

In my EDC bag I also have a Victorinox Trekker in case I forget to put the Spyderco in my pocket, a Gerber Suspension multi-tool in case I need the tools and a Buck Paklite skinner in a home-made kydex sheath in case I need a fixed blade for something.  Funny that I work a desk job but still find a 'need' for all of them from time to time although I mostly carry the varied blades for a 'just in case' situation more than because I need them daily.  When not at work I often still have the EDC bag but instead of the Spyderco I often carry a fixed blade, either a neck knife or a belt sheath knife.

Gerber EZ-Out for me. It's been a good knife and is easy to sharpen. If I lost it today I'd buy another one. I didn't know about the penny luck thing from GT's post. I'm gonna have to find a 1953 penny 'cause I really need something to change my luck!!! LOL

Hello Brothers and Sisters...

My name is leroy and im an addict... I'm addicted to old slip joint pocket knives... Usually pretty big ones from Queen, Case, Boker or, here lately, Great Eastern Cutlery... I simply can't leave 'em alone... I'll backslide every now and then and carry a spyderco, kershaw, or ZT of some flavor; but i always go back to the old timey slipjoints.... Especially hawkbills and whittlers... There is a Great Eastern hawkbill (...they call 'em pruners... we never did...), and a Seahorse Case in my pocket right now... Both with red jigged bone handles...

"hawkbill" leroy, the slipjoint junkie....
