Wine in grocery stores = sale on survival stuffs

I know it's true at my Publix so I have to assume it's true at many other grocers. As they make room for wine, they're forced to discontinue other products, or skinny down the brand/variety of a product. My Publix had a crap ton of dry beans on sale (mostly Goya brand) in their new soon-to-be-stocked-with-wine aisle. Seemed like a good price to me so I grabbed a few bags. Not prepper quantities, but a handful of 1 lb. bags. I don't know how the selection and prices at your local grocer may vary compared to buying in bulk, but it may something ya'll want to check into.

Plenty of non-prepper kind of stuff on clearance too at my Publix. YMMV.

I'm equally jazzed about being able to finally buy wine in grocery stores. :D

My buddy's company has the exclusive contract for Kroger in Tennessee.  All of that stuff goes live on July 1st, so he's been pretty busy and will be for the next month or so.  He appreciates your impending wine patronage. ;)

They are building the wine case at the Green Hills Kroger.  I told my wife yesterday while we walked past, "we'll be lucky if we don't become alcoholics now"

Good tip... I saw a bunch of stuff on clearance in our closest one but didn't think of it in those terms...

Ahh yes!  Preppers and their dried beans.  Nothing makes a man want to fight to survive than the thought of being huddled in a group, no A/C fans or air filters, possible cramped conditions and eating large quantities of BEANS.

I'll wash those beans down with some of the organic marinara sauce and hot salsa that was also on clearance. That will make me extra prepperific! If you're nice, maybe I'll share some of the clearance priced peanut butter Snickers.

Publix tip: If it rings up wrong, it's free. Watch the register closely on those clearance items. Free salsa for me!
