Outdoor ranges near West Nashville

Hey y'all

I recently moved from Franklin area over to Bellevue (Highway 100 area). Looking for ideas on outdoor ranges as I'm not familiar with the ranges out this way. I'm a member down at Strategic Edge in Chapel Hill, but given that it's now an hour ride each way I will probably only be making that trip once every couple months if I'm realistic.

Any good ranges around my area? Only one that comes to mind is Hafner range in Franklin, but that is maxed out at 100 yards.

If you find one, be sure to let the rest of us Bellevue denizens know about it. I drive an hour each way to Gallatin Gun Club.

There's the range out at Cheatham WMR I've never been as I've heard tales of how unsafe some of the inbred morons can be who like to frequent the place. It's a 45 minute drive. For 15 minutes more, I prefer to go to the much safer and usually empty GGC.

Royal Range has a super nice facility and the people to match. It ain't cheap, and it's indoors, but it's the closest range that we have. Plus they're now a TGO sponsoring vendor. +1 to that!

Yeah not surprised I guess. My own searching didn't turn up much so kind of figured there wasn't much around.

Cheatham used to be pretty nice, but I haven't been there in several years.  I used to shoot there quite a bit, but usually went after work.  It could get pretty packed on weekends, especially right before deer season.  They didn't have a range officer, but I only saw one incident where I wasn't comfortable.  I packed my stuff and left.  I heard a few stories of some of the Nashville gangs were going out there, but a couple of friends said they got that stopped pretty quickly.

I am not sure what their waiting list is like now, but there is also Davidson County Sportsman's Club.  I know a couple of members, and have thought about getting on the list, just never have done it.

I have started going to Montgomery County Shooting Complex. I live in Cheatham county. It is one of the nicest ranges I've ever been to. You can do everything from shotgun to 400 yrd rifle range for $12.50 a day. Probably at least an hour from Bellevue but I think it'll be worth it.
