Really small bedroom community that's part of a larger tourist destination and the police departments pretty small. All I all looks like the Chief and probably some others were trying to do some damage control. It probably would have worked out better if the Mayor had laid a disciplinary package on the Police Chief. The bottom line though is how much do you want to make of someone getting caught and publically shamed?
