I think they're trying to outdo NY

In the ultimate circular logic, applicants for a license must first have 5 years licensee experience and pass a written exam

Any person selling more than 8 firearms can be retroactively considered a dealer

Creation of a video record of every sale, available for inspection by State and Federal authorities, which translates to firearm registration

Clearly designed with the goal of slowing as much as can be done, or creating a checklist that would almost ensure that any gun shop could be busted if the state wants.  Keeping up with those admin requirements would be a full time job, and need someone very attentive to detail.  The whole 500' zone around any school, preschool or daycare isn't as bad as they make it out to be.  If it was, there would be no strip clubs inside Chicago.

The way for those in IL to fight this is to show how much sales tax revenue would be lost, and demand offsetting measures elsewhere in the budget.  Sort of how like how a "fiscal note" can kill gun legislation in Tennessee, just in reverse.

The 8+ firearms making someone a dealer, is specifically within a calendar year, so it's not as egregious as it seems.  I'm sure this is meant to target the "private collectors" who are of course making a living off their collection.

I didn't see the "social justice" part the article talks about, but I did admittedly skim it very fast.

I can't believe I lived there as long as I did.

Too bad he didn't do anything about it when he had a ####load of tanks.

Why do you think they kept Patton and Macarthur on a short leash?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news to those who get their history from memes but Patton never said that...at least that can be proven.

I was just about to post the snoops link, but that's apparently frowned upon.  *Cough @Ugly Cough* :)

To further reinforce your comment, anyone that tries to glean any legitimate information from a meme might need to loosen the fit of their tin foil hat...

Well... he shoulda said it, and then shot Janet Reno in the ass with one of his tanks.

She would have been 7 years old when he died.

Then he wouldn't have had to lead her as much.

And we may have never wound up with the saying, "uglier than a mud fence".
