Alabama Ammo

Recommended Posts

I was reorganizing my ammo the other night and noticed a stack from a company called Alabama Ammo. The rounds I found were purchased at a gun show several (like 10) years ago. Does anyone know if they are still around and if they have decent prices?

I'm in North Alabama pretty often and they used to be in Moulton...about 20 minutes away from Florence.

I think this is the stuff they sell at the Reloader's Bench in Mt Juliet. I've shot lots of it in 357 and 44, and it's all been great. They have new and remanufactured offerings. The new stuff comes in Starline brass!! I haven't purchased any new ammo in over a year, but when I was buying a lot, they were my first choice for three reasons:

1) shoots great, consistent and clean stuff

2) their new factory ammo was cheaper than wally world in like calibers, their remanufactured stuff was even cheaper still (yea, I was buying 50 rd boxes of 44 mag JHP ammo in new starline cases for $16/box!!)

3) I love starline brass! It's only marginally more expensive to buy this stuff and shoot it up for the brass, than if you were to just buy virgin Starline brass itself!

Shoot it up, then buy some more!

I stopped there last spring and they were still in operation at that time. I have a number for them around here somewhere. I'll post it here if I can locate it.

Wish I could tell you. They aren't open on the weekend at all. I ended up buying 9mm at Wal Mart in Florence. At least you save the $.10 tax per box and the sales tax is also slightly lower there compared to Murfreesboro.

nope.....but if anyone gets a price list post it up. I am on vacation in a few weeks and will probably be making a trip to huntsville and would love to make the drive over if it's worth it to stock up.

I'm heading down to God's country tomorrow for a wedding, and will see if I can find some of this ammo down there. I need to mix it up a little with the Winchester and Remington.

Has anyone made is by yet? They aren't open on Saturdays or afternoons after 3 or 4. I can't seem to catch them when they are open for business.

Pardon my ignorance,

Does the Reloader's Bench in Mt Juliet have a store?

Can we just go there?

I was unaware that they had a website. :screwy:

They have a store right off of I-40. Get off on exit 226 and go north on Mt. Juliet Rd. They're not very far down, on the right. They're in a white building that kind of looks like a house, with several other businesses. They have a sign up by the road.

I was just trying to refresh the thread

Guys had mentioned they might try and go to either one.

I'm still wondering if Alabama Ammo or Reloader's Bench is less expensive, just better, or both?

I can't keep ammo more than a year, I keep shooting it up if I still have a gun in that caliber.

No luck in Alabama this past weekend, you'd think being in Alabama and all...

While I was there I also checked a couple Wal-Marts and they were just as dry as up here. The only place I could find .357 SIG was at the range I went to in Birmingham.

But back to the point, no Bama Ammo.

I bought Alabama Ammo at at gun show in Marietta Ga yesterday. The lady selling it said she sells it in her Cutlery & Collectiable store in Woodstock Ga. I was searching around trying to see if they had a website and found this thread here.

The prices were the best at the show and better than I have seen anywhere else in quite a while except at Wally's place. I hope it shoots as good as it looks.

50 rnds 9 mm 115gr JHP $15.99

50 rnds 45 auto 230gr FMJ $18.99

50 rnds 45 auto 185gr JHP $20.99

And she had 45 230 gr+P JHP for around $30

Hey guys. I know this is an old thread, but I actually found this forum on my search for info on Alabama Ammo and I just joined. I just bought 150 rounds of Alabama Ammo 9mm FMJ and they worked great. I was impressed. I shot at the range better with them than I have with anything. No missfires, jams, or any other problem. I pass their shop a couple times a week. I would be willing to work something out and stop and get some and ship it if you all are still having trouble getting it.
