Need a window air conditioner fixed.

I live in the South Nashville area and I need to find someone to repair a window air conditioner. It is a two year old Frigidaire 25,000 BTU window unit. Thought it would last longer than that, but that is the quality of most things in the US today. It sounds like the compressor is trying to kick on, but am only getting slightly cooler air.

Does anyone know a place that works on window units? Is it even worth the effort to repair or should I just replace it?

Any help is appreciated.

Didn't know anywhere still works on those.  Figured they were about like cheap TVs; use it till it breaks and toss it.

Your gonna have to find a self employed air conditioner guy.  Sounds like it has a small leak and is now low on freon.  The big shop guy's probably won't touch it.

Most of the time they have a problem that cost too much to fix for a window unit, then again it could be a simple fix like a capacitor not allowing the compressor to start, without someone looking at it it's almost impossible to tell. If you ever have an old R-22 unit that has a freon leak, several years old then you might as well toss it, find someone who recycles metal, they would love to have it. R-22 is like liquid gold now.
