Wish me luck

I am slowly getting better, 40 days left before I can start to get back to normal.

Well as my surgical sight pain has started to subside I am starting to realize I am sore in other places. Probably just got manhandled but my right shoulder is hurting pretty bad but no where near as bad as the 2-3 ribs that are sore. The boney "wing" on my hip and my right knee are noticeable as well. The ribs are noticeably swollen. Matter of fact the ribs and shoulder are more bothersome than the surgery now.

I slept on a chaise lounge last night and it helped me a lot. Before last night I have had less then four hours of sleep since Sunday. Last night I got four then another four this morning.

I really appreciate those of you who have reached out with advice and encouraging words. It is helping me a lot.

My prayers for you both. DO what the docs tell you for recovery.

An old boss of mine had the same surgery. A week after, he was back in the office being superman, telling us how easy it was and how good he felt.

Two weeks later, he had it done again. The recovery was far longer and much more painful for him.

But you won't do things like that...will you?

Seriously buddy. Take the advice given and rest. We'll be praying and awaiting your return.

Like hipower says, do what the docs tell you.

Sixteen years ago, I had inguinal hernia surgery. The doc said no running for six weeks. I felt great and started back running at five weeks. It tore something and even though it's not enough to find as a hernia, it still hurts once and a while now. Like I said, that was 16 years ago. Don't try to come back faster than the doctor says.
