Current Form 3 lead times?

Anyone know what the current lead time with a Form 3 currently is? Or knows a resource that communicates its current timeframe?

I've been noticing 60-80 days right now with all this madness going on.

Capitol Armory is saying 4-8 weeks. Who really knows how long anything will take these days.

I'll be coming down to the wire. From the time the form 3 was sent to July 13th is 77 days. Hope it's in before then so I can start the process.

I really don't want this to go past the 41F deadline. The guy I spoke to at ATF said that with the background checks, the lead times for Form 1/4 will be 9-12 months. Do not want that. Edited May 2, 2016 by Mindless-Focus

That's what I'm saying. I have the serial myself. Don't think this NFA shop near me will.

Well forms go to different examiners so you wouldn't want the 4 on the desk while the 3 was still processing.  That wouldn't make the ATF happy and dealer would get a slap on the wrist.  However, silencershop will file the 4 a few weeks after the 3.  Supposedly they've gotten clearance or something with the ATF.  I spoke to a rep about that last week in fact.

I have a Dead Air Sandman S on order. Tried getting it from a shop here in state. Called 7 NFA shops all over the state. All were out of stock or waiting on a shipment but didn't think it'd be in before July. So I ordered from Capital. From when I was notified that the Form 3 was sent to July 13th, is 77 days. Gonna be really close if current lead times are 60-80 days.

Silencershop is seeing form 3 approvals between 02/26-03/16. So that is probably another good indicator. But who knows how much business has picked up since those were submitted. So that's 63-42 days....going to be close man.

Too close. shoukd have bought locally from Fair Arms when they had one. I held and played with it. Hemmed and hawed. Finally just said screw it.

Yeah. I've got 3 cans in their safe right now. Got the 2 from Capital transferring to them and the second they get Rugfed Obsidian in, I'll go get that one too.

I ordered a Yankee Hill Phantom from SilencerShop on 3/1. The Form 3 was sent in on 3/2 and came back to them on 4/18.

Received a F3 back yesterday that was mailed off on Feb 2nd

 

Most of mine are running 45-60 days on F3 to me
